Hi! My name is Tyler, and together with my beautiful wife, Alijsha, we're the husband and wife team behind The Poop Troop.

 

The Poop Troop is a veteran-owned, family-owned business built from the ground up with one goal in mind: helping families spend less time worrying about the dirty work and more time enjoying their yards.

 

I proudly served 4 years in the Air Force before being medically discharged after being diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis (MS). After transitioning out of the military, back into civilian life, our family of 4 (at the time) moved from Travis AFB, California to Pearland, Texas in search of a fresh start.

 

Starting over wasn't easy. We knew no one and didn't know much of the area, so we ended up living in an Airbnb with our two young children (at the time) while trying to rebuild our lives. My wife had to leave behind her successful dog grooming business to become a stay at home mom and I struggled to find work that fit my disability. After spending 3 months in an Airbnb and working many different jobs, we officially bought and moved into our Montgomery home where I ultimately deciding to use my GI Bill to pursue college. At first, I earned a degree in Culinary Arts to learn how to create healthier meals for our family, but eventually returned back to school to study Business.

 

It all started with our own dog. One day, while my wife and I were scooping poop in our own backyard (after our husky, Kai) we had a light bulb moment:

 

"What if we turned this into a business?"

 

That single idea became The Poop Troop that you all know and love today! We researched everything we could, invested in ourselves, and took the leap.

 

Today, our family has grown to four amazing kids not including our pets of 8+ years: our husky, Kai, our cat, Raine, and our ball python, Melodi.

 

In our business, I am the founder and the friendly face you'll all see at each and every service: handling all customer service, partnerships, marketing across the internet, making sure each yard is cleaned with care, and that every gate is locked behind me.

 

Alijsha is the co-founder and the creative one behind the scenes: creating the videos you all know and love, designing our website, logos, marketing materials for me to use, and everything you see online.

 

All in all, What we love most isn't just cleaning yards. It's meeting incredible families, loving on their dogs, supporting other local small businesses, and giving our community cleaner, safer yards to enjoy. Whether your yard is for kids, dogs, family barbecues, or simply relaxing after a long day, we're honored every time you trust us with it.
